Happy Go Lucky (Original Music by Hermitage)

Today I'm very excited to be releasing the first song from my new album which we have been working on for the last two years! The project goes by the name of Hermitage - a band of two brothers (my younger brother and I) and also a host of musical friends who make guest appearances on our songs.

The title of the album Momentary Interruption suggests the feeling of being so captivated by music that you lose all consciousness of the world around you. A feeling that is often short lived before we are thrown back into reality. The first song I am launching is called: Happy Go Lucky. It was written after returning home (to Australia) from Europe and is filled with all the energy and excitement felt on coming home after a significant absence.

The artwork features a wonderful oil painting by my brother Winston. The painting shows a view of the Seine river in Paris with many people resting and strolling along the embankments while the trees show the first signs of the coming autumn.

The album was recorded at the old Blast Furnace Studios (now Wizard Tone Studios) using my own recording gear. It was then produced over many months by myself with many additional recordings of vocals, guitar, bass and keys all done at my home studio. The tracks were then mixed at home and mastered by the very professional Datafire Audio. (https://www.datafireaudio.com/)
