Singers that Have Really impressed Me. Ronnie James Dio

5ft 4inches tall , Dio's Music career spanned over 50 years. To me He had the Most Powerful Voice in Early Metal.
Started off on Trumpet , also played Bass, several Bands later, and ended up in Elves, album called Elf opening regularly for Deep Purple in the Mid 70's.
There was a bit of Disagreement mid tour ,and Ritchie Blackmore left Purple and recruited Dio for a new Project " Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" soon to be just Rainbow.
The first Album I heard by them was Long Live Rock n Roll with several; Great Tracks on it, owned it on Vinyl , foolishly lent it out, never came back.
This was about the time when CD's were first released , the beauty of this was that a lot of albums that one could not obtain any more , were suddenly re-released on CD.
Dio parted Company with Rainbow in 1979, Ozzy had left Black Sabbath , Tony Iommi , asked Dio to join, the rest is Rock History .
From 1979 to 1982 . and a Brief return in 1992
From 1992 to 2004 and releasing 10 Albums we have the Band called Dio
In Oct 2006 we see Dio joining Members of Black Sabbath in a Band called Heaven & Hell .
Black Sabbath were back with Ozzy so using that name would really cause confusion

They were about to release a new album in 2010 , unfortunately Ronnie succumbed to Stomach Cancer before this could take place

Dio was one of the Metal greats (Sicilian too)... I also like Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, what a voice! I also like his philosophy. He once said in an interview: "If the guy in the back row doesn't feel as involved as the guy up front, then I haven't done my job."

Got quite some stuff of Rainbow and my forever nr 1 song Dio sang was Stargazer. With his voice he brought it to a level that was not only amazing but also second to none.
Yes, Dio is an amazing metal singer. My personal favorite is Eric Adams from manowar, but I've many other favorites, like e.g. John Greely, and I'm glad I'm his friend and we actually work together at @bloodytimes, he's the original singer for ICED EARTHs "Night of the Stormrider" album from 1992.
