Bands I really Loved: The New Yardbirds.
After several extensive tours , The Yardbirds were getting a bit tired of touring , Keith Relf wanted to go more acoustic.
Jimmy Page , the most recent recruit ended up having to put the Band together again to fulfill pre-booked shows!
He approached the Who trying to recruit John Entwistle on Bass and Keith Moon on Drums!
The rumour is that their Manager asked Page how he was going to play with Broken Fingers?
He knew John Paul-Jones as a session Bassist and Multi-instrumentalist and recruited him, John mentioned that he had heard of a good Vocalist up North.
Off they go and discover the Magic that was Robert Plant!
Robert had a friend who he said was into Drums
It appeared that John Bonham new something about hitting round devices with sticks!
And, to cut a long story short the first shows were billed as the New Yardbirds!
The name rapidly changed to the incomparable " Led Zeppelin"

One thing with rock band is they got this side to them, and this is a good here, the videos are quality entertainment
