Moon Wiring club is an electro ambient experimental group formed in the UK in 2006. The main members are Mr. Paris Green and Dr. Lettow-Vorbeck, aka Ian Hodgson and Jon Brooks. There are two other part time collaborators: Mademoiselle Marionette and Mr. Osram Brown. They release under two labels: Gecophonic and FACT Magazine.

They describe their own music as Cronky, shonky, eerie, beautifully confusing Northern English electronic magickal musicke.

The ultimate in Ghost Party Delerium since 1596 / 1908 / 200

This is an accurate depiction, much of the music has been made on a live instruments and a playstation 2 and since both are fans of retro television their music is full of old spooky and childlike samples. Moon Wiring club has created a world all of their own and if you visit their website you'll see what I mean. The news/updates section is full of cryptic references to time and dimensional travel and have invented their own world called clinksell. A few updates:

The rumours (?) are TRUTH! MOON WIRING CLUB have now been operating for AT LEAST a full decade within your selected time frame, and to celebrate we have some extremely fancy multi-dimensional releases!

Depending on which reality you currently inhabit, you can experience WHEN A NEW TRICK COMES OUT, I DO AN OLD ONE (GEpH010CD) ~ a huge TRIPLE compact disc set of archive / unreleased / unearthed all-fancy MWC sounds to celebrate their 10th / 100th / 10,000th year of functionality!

34/11/25/34/11/85/04/12/15:

It is DEFINITELY the 34th November 1625 whilst UNDOUBTABLY the 34th November 1985! (and probably 4th December). Which can only mean it is almost certainly ~ WHY DOES MY HOUSE MAKE CREAKING NOISES & PLAYCLOTHES FROM FARAWAY PLACES release day! BIG TA to all who kindly made a purchase and politely discoursed about it online ~ the courtesy in very much appreciated. Give yourselves a creme/faberge egg (depending on preference).

Thier music is an absolutely delightful trip into another world and they have beautifully colorful graphics to compliment it. Here' one of my favorite tracks

Ian Hodgson developed a taste for making music as a child while taking part in the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and Jon Brooks (who also goes by The Advisory Circle) started his own record label called Cafe Kaput which is all music made by schoolchildren in the 70's, and it's really good:

These are two artists that are really worth exploring more!

‘For those amongst us who favour entertainment of a more ‘experimental’ nature, the Moon Wiring Club is as infamous and inevitable as cod-liver oil. One might say that no gentleman whose adventurous instincts have not been warmed and purged by what is on offer here, can hope for much future in the English-speaking world.’
-Dame Priapus Fripps, 1936

They're amazing you should listen to all their albums :)

This is good stuff.

I went to add them to my spotify playlist but they don't have too much up over there - weird. Guess I'll have to bookmark the youtube page...

There's tons on YouTube, it's not as practical as Spotify unfortunately.

It's interesting how some music shows up on one and not the other.

Although the situation with movies and television is far, far worse.
