Tour Diary #11: Hong Kong, HK
After a 5-hour flight from Tokyo we arrived in Hong Kong. It's the 2nd time I've been here, last time we played Clockenflap Festival, which is a really cool festival located on the seafront. Definitely a good destination for an international festival crowd.
This time we were here for a show at Y Studio, a nice hall with a capacity of approximately 500. The show was arranged by White Noise Records which is a small indie label. They also has a really nice record store in Hong Kong worth a visit if you're into alternative music.
The show ended up being sold out and it went really well. The custom here is that the shows tend to start early, around 7pm, and dinner is after the show.
Foodwise I got to try some Dim Sum. Hong Kong and China isn't the easiest countries to be a vegetarian in - mostly because of the language barrier - but I got to try a ton of seafood and the local fish balls in curry which can be bought on almost every street corner, delicious!
The next leg of the tour is in China, from Guangzhou to Beijing in a week.
