Sample Pack Review: KSHMR Vol.2
Being a hip-hop producer, you need to have a lot of sample packs in your library. It gives you a lot of sounds and samples with work with and most of them can be found cheap, if not for free. Most of the sample packs I get are downloaded off sites that require adblockers but there is a few that I own and one of them is KSHMR Vol. 2.
Made by a producer and musician named KSHMR, the pack boasts over 1500 samples for you to play around and make songs with. Of course, you have your kicks, your snares and your toms but it's within the loops that it starts to get really interesting.
These loops are made using "The “Arabic” Scale" which goes like:
C —> C# —> E—> F —> G —> G# —> A# —> C#
There is a load of vocal one-shots, loops and beds for you to add more humanity to your songs. There is also 38 animal sounds with everything from Amazon birds and horses to zebras and lions.
All those samples are very high quality and sound very clean in terms of the recording.
Overall, the sample pack gets a solid 4.5/5 for me. It may not have much for trap production but the loops that it does have are fantastic and you can get very creative with them
