About my new track...
Hey everyone!
Today I've uploaded my new production to Soundcloud which I want to share with you. It can be listened/streamed right here:
Now, although it is quite a simple arrangement actually, I still want to share the background story with you. Tell you more about how I came to the idea for this track.
Recently was looking into UVI's Energy plugin while in the meantime listening to some 'older' music from the legend Jean-Michel Jarre. (If you don't know his work: Look up his album 'Oxygene'!) I got inspired by those typical 80's synthwave-like sounds and got inspired to make something similar, just for the sake of experimenting. So I bought the Energy plugin and started to work out some concepts. I thought to myself: 'Let's make it more of a fun challenge for myself, I try to only use the Energy plugin for the whole track!'. This thought more or less forced me to explore all sounds and possibilities of the VST. I ended up using the Plugin for almost every sound in the track: Only the percussion and the risers are from other plugins (MaxSynths DR-910 - another 'vintage' sounding drum machine, and UVI's sweepmachine).
I'm quite happy with the result I managed to produce, I've got the feeling that I've made something 'different' which doesn't have the standard synthwave sounds and has quite an happy feel to it, while in the meantime, I've gotten the most out of the Energy plugin. ;)
Now because the sound of the track differs much from my regular tracks (which are more 'trancy') and because it's a simple arrangement I'm considering releasing this one'as a free download IF you guys like this track.
And for producers: Should you be interested, I've also made a quick video during the time that the track was still in progress. Here you can look/listen to the different parts of the track and the sounds the Energy VST makes.
Enjoy! :)
Welcome to the platform. It is always good to have more music here in the community. You may want to check steemit.chat to promote your posts. There are some initiatives for electronic producers to work together, soundlegion is one of them. #danceweekend, #electronic can be good tags. Check also those who follow me, as well as those who I follow (most of them have something with music). I'm not that much of a trance fan btw :) Anyway, great to have you onboard. Nice post for sure.
