Ozark Mushrooms - Fawn Mushroom
Pluteus atricapillus
If I have identified this correctly, and I think I have, this should be a Fawn Mushroom. Their season is from May to October and occur singly or scattered on dead wood or on the ground over buried wood.
Their cap width is usually between 1 to 5 inches. This one was probably tipping that 5 inch scale.
The spore print is Salmon to a brownish-pink color.
I won't comment on whether they are edible. Just don't eat them and you won't have to find out.
Thanks for stopping by!
Beautiful photography. 💫
Take Care.
Bless you.
It seems that Mushroom Butt can not be eaten!
