Dexter’s Lab

I arrived to the crime scene at 9:52 am. I was late due to a transportation malfunction. When I had arrived, my Rugby team, they were doing their duties. After I cleared my situation with Chief Miller, I started to survey the crime scene and at that point my team had left the crime scene. It was 48C and windy when I arrived to the target crime scene at 1014 Floyd avenue, Richmond, 23320. The crime scene was located outside of Harris hall in the bench area. The scene was below ground level. The first thing that I saw was the victim’s body. The body was on the floor, her head was facing west, and she was laying on her right side. There was a pool of blood on the floor near her neck area. Next to her feet, by the bike rack there was a bloody knife along with drops of blood next to the bike rack. The door closest to the victim there was a blood splatter. Blood was also on the floor next to the door. There were also two delmonte food cans in the target crime scene; one near her feet and one towards her back.  Near the food can that was closest to the victims back there was a blue necklace that was intact. 

I began my video recording at 10:37pm starting at the southwest position of the crime scene. After I worked my four corners of the crime scene, I moved on to the middle of the crime scene and the point of view of the victim. At 11:03pm I exited the target crime scene and my team resumed their duties and recorded four videos on each corner of the intersection of Harrison and Main at 11:00pm and ended at 11:25pm.  At 12:41am crime scene final survey was completed. 


Off scene activity started on 11/4/2014, 8:00am at Harris hall 2021. Requests for ME were submitted. Victim id, rape kit, fingernail analysis. Body prints for DNA, tox screen and weapon match was asked in the request.  At 11/6/2014 8:00am at Harris hall 2021 results were examined and a second lab request was requested. Notes and observation on videos were written.  At 11/11/2014 8:00am at Harris hall 2021 meeting outside the lab were discussed a meeting for 11/23 at 7:00pm at Cabell library was set. Videos were edited for trial. On 11/13/2014 8:00am at Harris hall 2021 worked on reconstruction and choose videos to present. 11/18/2014 8:00am at Harris hall 2021 reconstruction was discussed; an altercation of victim was noted. 11/20/2014 8:00am at Harris hall 2021 reconstruction was completed. 11/23/2014 8:00am at Harris hall 2021 discussed questions to be asked during case at 7:00pm at Cabell library discussed and reviewed case. At 12/1/2014 9:00am at Cabell library went through an overview of everything.
