Mural "FIRST A DREAM"

This large mural (34'H x 50' W) entitled "First A Dream" is located in Galesburg, Illinois. The title is a quote from Carl Sandburg, a native of Galesburg "Nothing Happens unless first a Dream"; his portrait appears in the upper left section of the mural. Commissioned by the Dick Blick art supply company, that has its headquarters in the town, the art work celebrates the 100 year birthday of the company. The mural was painted in the studio on non woven fabric on 40 panels that were then glued to the wall. Rolling scaffolding allowed us to touch up the intersections of the panels on site. Mural designed by Kathleen Scarboro and Kathleen Farrell. Executed by Kathleen Scarboro, Dante DiBartolo, and Hector Fernandez.
