Gardner's Multiple Intelligences: Where Do You Belong

If you're thinking that you were dull just because you weren't good in mathematics or in english or rather both in that field, then you are wrong. Doctor Howard Gardner, a professor of education in Harvard University developed a theory of Multiple Intelligences in year 1983.
As an education student, our professors would always remind us that students are heterogeneous and that they are embracing such uniqueness. Always look at the student as diverse to one another, discover each ones passion for they always differ in it. Some students may not be interested or good in math 'cause they have their passion in literature, some are into dancing where they don't put an effort in learning the spoken and written language.

Back then I used to compare myself to anyone who is really good in math, I call myself as a dull one because I really tried my best just to be good in math but I just can't. And college came, Multiple Intelligences was introduced to us and that I realized, there is no single person who is dull, we just belong to the different kind of intelligences

So, Howard Gardner developed this Multiple Intelligence and it's for you to find out where do you belong.

1.Linguistic intelligence involves sensitivity to spoken and written language, the ability to learn languages, and the capacity to use language to accomplish certain goals. This intelligence includes the ability to effectively use language to express oneself rhetorically or poetically; and language as a means to remember information.

2.Logical-mathematical intelligence consists of the capacity to analyze problems logically, carry out mathematical operations, and investigate issues scientifically.

3.Musical intelligence involves skill in the performance, composition, and appreciation of musical patterns. It encompasses the capacity to recognize and compose musical pitches, tones, and rhythms.

4.Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence entails the potential of using one’s whole body or parts of the body to solve problems. It is the ability to use mental abilities to coordinate bodily movements.

5.Spatial intelligence involves the potential to recognize and use the patterns of wide space and more confined areas.

6.Interpersonal intelligence is concerned with the capacity to understand the intentions, motivations and desires of other people. It allows people to work effectively with others.

7.Intrapersonal intelligence entails the capacity to understand oneself, to appreciate one’s feelings, fears and motivations.

8.Naturalist intelligence has to do with how we relate to our surroundings and where we fit into it. People with Naturalist intelligence have a sensitivity to and appreciation for nature.

So, I will as ask you, Where Do You Belong?
