The Times They are a Changing

Running a global broadcasting network with show hosts in many different countries presents some unique challenges, and one of those challenges is coordinating times changes across the globe. With daylight savings time (DST) already in effect in many European countries, and the change coming in a little over a day in the Americas, MSP Waves' static UTC schedule means that the effective times of our shows in many areas will be changing.

What does this mean for me?

If you are in an area that implements DST, all of your favorite shows will be one hour earlier this fall/winter. UTC does not change with DST, so if/when you fall back tomorrow, you're setting your clock one hour back relative to the MSP Waves schedule, with one notable exception...

Wednesday shows will be moved forward one hour

Due to scheduling conflicts caused by DST for our show hosts, our Wednesday shows will be moving forward by one hour in UTC. If you have or will be setting your clocks back, this will mean Wednesday shows will still be at the same time you know and expect. If your region is not affected by DST, all shows will start an hour later going forward.

No Bull- New Show!

One of our newest shows bringing you unconventional topics punctuated with heavy metal. In case you missed our update last week, check out this post about No Bull with @gregorypatrick. You can catch it from 11 PM to 1 AM UTC every Saturday night.

Bring Your Own Choon- New Show!

After 2 hours of talking with the people that love to create music in this blockchain ecosystem on Spotlight on the Artist, @onemedia points the spotlight on the music to let it speak for itself on the newest addition to our schedule, Bring Your Own Choon. Drop links to your choons or dsound links during the show every Friday from 8-10 PM UTC and get the attention of an active blockchain music community.

Spice4Life- New Time!

Our beloved @hope777 has recently moved her re-branded show, Spice4Life, to a new time on Wednesdays, from 9-11 PM UTC. Spice4Life is a relaxed show where Hope777 chats about a spicy mix of topics – all and everything about life – with lots of music in between.

Ma1ne & Snekky- On Hiatus

One of MSP Waves' longest running shows is taking a break. The Ma1ne & Snekky show will not be airing at it's former time slot, but you can count on a radio pro like @ma1neevent or the motivated and charming @poeticsnake to be back in some form or fashion in the near future.

/dev/null- On Hiatus

@jrswab's tech show will be taking a break as well. One of the obstacles of hosting a show on MSP Waves is finding hours of time preparing and hosting on top of working full time and/or raising a family, and unfortunately @jrswab will have to take a couple months off to regroup. Be on the lookout for future updates on here, and don't be surprised if you see him back on the lineup.

We currently have a few slots open with more opportunities around the corner. If you are a dependable person wanting to host a show with the built-in audience and support of MSP Waves, approach @globocop or @r0nd0n either on Discord or Steemit.

• Sunday 7-9 PM
• Wednesday 12-2 AM reserved
• Wednesday 11 PM - 1 AM
• Thursday 11 PM - 1 AM
