What I know so far about Steemit

• Steemit is a social media/blogging website which reward members with the steem blockchain (steem and steem dollars) for posting and commenting on the platform.
  

• Steemit was founded by Ned Scott and Dan Larimer

• The goal of steemit is getting the world together on a social network platform as community and bring value to the people in a peer-to-peer and decentralized way using the steem blockchain.

• Steem is a Cryptocurrency that was established to for the steemit social media blockchain.

• SBD is Steem backed dollars, are actually units used to reward members on Steemit for posting or commenting

• Steem power can be said to be the token or amount which shows how much power a steemian have on steemit.

• Voting power can be said to be the amount of money given to someone from each of your upvotes, though it is dependent on the amount of steem power and number of votes per day.
  

• Estimated account value is the average value of steem in US dollars

• I believe how to help steemit grow in my town is by getting more people into the platform, guiding them through to understand how the system works and letting them see first hand the benefits and awesomeness of STEEMIT.
