Previously, the director / scriptwriter The Incredibles , Brad Bird once said that he would not make a sequel if no story. Well , he now has a story. Not new, so the sensation of watching it not segress first. However, this film is also not a mere replay . The idea is still relatively the same, exploring the balance (or even imbalance?) Between family life and superhero life, but the presentation is fresh and very entertaining. The movie never felt dull.



If you still remember, at the end of The Incredibles our hero family proves that the superhero is really needed by mankind. But it turns out this new discourse, because in Incredibles 2 , their presence is still considered illegal. Continuing the end of the first film, the film begins with the action of the Incredibles family trying to cope with a villain named Underminer that drills the city with a giant drill machine. The action of the criminals was successfully stopped, but their heroic actions caused a lot of damage which of course did not respond well by the government.



But there are still parties who believe in superheroes. They are the Winston and Evelyn Deavor brothers ( Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener ). They want to make superhero cool again, and the way is through methods that have been tested to lead public opinion in Indonesia since 2004, the campaign. By pairing the camera on a superhero then people can see all the details of the heroic action and appreciate it. The campaign agent they want to be is not Bob aka Mr. Incredible ( Craig T. Nelson ) who likes to be here and there, but Helen aka Elastigirl ( Holly Hunter ) who is able to work very effectively.



This put Helen at the forefront of crime, while Bob would have to take care of the household. And taking care of the household was not that easy; he became super penitent and sleep deprived. The eldest son, Violet ( Sarah Vowell ) was unstable, upset because the gebetan forgot his name. Dash ( Huck Milner ) has trouble with Math-hey, who does not. And Jack-Jack ... hmm, just normal babysitting has made a bunch, let alone a baby who can fire a laser, float, switch dimensions, take out a fire, and turn into a purple demon.



Watching the hustle and bustle of this superhero family household is an entertainment in itself. The movie even has some sort of special segment for Jack-Jack to show off his power through an epic battle with a rag racking behind the house-it's funny and frankly a little scary. But in a different part, we can see the typical action superhero movie through the mission of Elastigirl that presents not just one but at least three sequences of the best and most kinetic action I've seen in superhero movies lately.



The scenes are a kind of scene that can only be used in animated films. In live-action this will be ridiculous, because Elastigirl take advantage of his body flexibility far beyond the limit we can imagine. Imagination Bird craze in creating this kind of probability. Including later emerged several new superheroes that have unique abilities, including Voyd who can make a portal-where-only, as well as old friends Incredibles family, Frozone ( Samuel L. Jackson ). The action sequence sequence is spectacular, and Bird is able to present it with such skill that it feels smooth and tense.



The most dangerous threat to the Incredibles family - other than failing to put the hyperactive super - baby off - is from the villain nicknamed Screensaver, as the name implies, can enslave people by hypnotizing through any screen. This criminal growled with a contemporary society who prefers to stare at the screen watching others do something rather than actually do something.

This is the special power that Bird and Pixar's studio has seen since in The Incredibles , and later in Incredibles 2 . Through captivating animations, tasty jokes and brilliant voice-over, he smartly tucked in some subversive issues without noticeable or disturbing movie momentum. These parts, of course, will be more nampol for father and mother. But there are more than enough exciting parts that will make the kids smitten. As for other family members, this film has a family dynamic performance that is very fun and enthralling. It's not hard for me to recommend the film "most family" this year.
