I thought what was great about the movie (and about movies) is that, even though the white audience can't totally relate to the main character, our sympathies lie 100% with him. It also calls out the bullshit people think about what's important an story. "The main character isn't relateable!" So? You don't have to relate to give a shit. I would guess you have a lot more in common with Daniel Kaluuya's character than you do with Tony Soprano, right?
