Movie quote and some thoughts

Just finished watching the movie "Me and Earl and The Dying Girl". It's a very nice teenage movie about a deep friendship between a girl with cancer and a boy. This quote made much sense to me so I wanted to share.

I can really relate to this situation. Back in my school years I always felt like I was socializing not because I wanted to but simply I had to. There weren't many people I could get on well since generally my life was quite different then everyone around me. I think growing up is not a bad thing in this sense because everday I feel like I have more freedom in choosing the people around me the way I want.
