Movie Review - Star Trek Beyond
I watched Star Trek's latest adventure, Star Trek Beyond today. It's entertaining but definitely doesn't reaches to as far as earlier movies. Also, you can't stop but wonder after thirty minutes into the movie that how come all aliens speaks English! They all have one reason or another to have learned that language.
Character of Jaylah is well developed and we will see more of her in next installment to the series. Apart from that movie is very simple and highly predictable. Enjoyable due to special effects.
It has really high ratings on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes but doesn't reach even 1/10th of The Wrath of Khan in terms of plot strength.
I have also wondered why they speak English. Also why do they normally destroy or invade America before anywhere else?
In this movie they are not attacking America. At least that's not how understood it. If you are referring to Independence Day. I think it makes sense to do that as US is the biggest power. Take US out and other countries would easily fall in line.
