ARCHIVE 81 (Horror)
The entity that the 1994 cult is devoted to is a fictional god and demon figure called Kaelego. He is an ancient being who was formerly linked to the Kharon comets, a pair of twin comets. Thousands of years ago, one of the comets broke away from the pair and collided with Earth. Now, Kaelego lives alone in the Otherworld, Archive 81's pocket dimension. Once within his pocket dimension, he can build idealised renditions of a person's life, and because time in the Otherworld is different, he can experience the past, present, and future all at once. Kaelego has been regarded as a deity or a monster by humans of many civilizations for thousands of years. When it became evident that Kaelego was a destructive force, a coven of witches known as the Baldung imprisoned him in a Kharonite statue to safeguard the world from him.
Kaelego features two notable cults in the series Archive 81: the Vos Society from the 1920s and the Spirit Receivers from 1994. Kaelego also appears as a shimmering black mold that is a neurotoxic that makes anybody who breaths it in or ingests it vulnerable to his power. Mold particles may be observed floating in the air inside the Otherworld, comparable to the Upside Down in Stranger Things.
