RE: Movie review: The Batman

in #movies3 years ago

Marvel and DC both are going downhill. The newest comics are Woke SJW nonsense. Both are now owned by the studios so Marcel is owned by Disney now. The comic sales are horrible since this change and only continuing because they can loose money on comic end with movies making money. But finally marvel movies lost money last year except for the newest SpiderMan which made bank. The Eternals for example didn’t make its budget back and will hardly break even. DC is making everybody different and killing Superman and Batman comics. I Read the comments below also so might. E commenting on some u said below also.

The new Batman wasn’t horrible at all but I wasn’t loving it either. DC comics is confusing the “normie/CausualFans” by doing 3 different Batman’s in a few year period. They are just trying to go so many different directions but the movie was ok. But there desperately copying marvels one success last year and shoehorning in an older Michael Keaton just to try snd get same effect for more $$$. The studios screwed the comic book scene and now that both age owned by the studios marvel especially the stories are woke nonsense now. It’s a bummer

Well, I have never been a true "fan" of any comic, really. Also because I found them to be far too expensive.
I think in essence its the success that is killing the whole comic thing. Comics are a underground, niche product by nature. Thats how they started, and thats when they were at its best. They started off as a new art form, made by artists who wanted to create something different, a new way of story telling bach in the 30s and 40s. And they had a pretty hard time at first. But it slowly grew and got bigger and bigger, and it was still ok as long as the old artists and the old spirit was driving the production. Up until the 80s or so.
But then it began to smell like big money, so the big investors got interested in the business. The ones, who invest in whatever they think promises profit, without having a clue what the products really are, and they don't give a fuck.
That almost killed the printed comic books, because they just did the same back then what they are doing today with the movies - making more and more of them, to make more and more money. Quantity over quality. But it doesn't work like that on the long run. However they don't care, if the ship is sinking they leave and invest in toilet paper or anti tank missiles or chewing gum, whatever is profitable at the time.
