movie review:Black Adam(an unnecessary DC film)

in #movies2 years ago (edited)

Warner Bros. 'DC Extended Universe has seen some big changes in recent years, from release date tweaks to creative shifts, and among them is one unnecessary film - Black Adam.image.pngAfter an exhibition-filled prologue set in ancient times, Black Adam focuses on the modern streets of the fictional country of Kandak. We learn that Black Adam was once a slave of Kandak and that thousands of years ago, he was given the powers of the gods and used them to destroy Kandak's invaders. Now he was awakened. But his violence caught the attention of the Justice Society of America. Black Adam has excellent action scenes. WACP5[D2~L{)N{9MZB~H5W1.png

The movie feels epic, and we also meet the character, which is very powerful. It's reminiscent of the character's brutal nature, which Dwayne Johnson has emphasized many times. The film doesn't dilute the darkness of the characters. However, Black Adam relies less on character development. Because throughout the movie, we see an angry antihero.

Hawkman and Doctor Fate have an interesting relationship in the movie. However, the two characters don't develop much in terms of friendship. Cyclone and Atom Smasher, the young member of the Justice Society, have some charming moments but lack depth. I was impressed by Atom Smasher's eccentric and lovable personality. What's interesting to me is that Hawkman versus Black Adam is much more compelling than Black Adam versus the real villain. This is interesting because the movie diminishes the real villain.

Black Adam isn't the best DC movie, nor is it the funniest. But the film introduces some interesting characters. Sadly, Henry Cavill will not be playing Superman again, DC will have a new era. Black Adam became an unnecessary DC film.GU8U$(Q16NDMD}RWETD]{(X.png
