In Jersey's shadow, where mobsters roam,
A tale of Tony Soprano, a name to call home,
A waste management consultant, or so he'd claim,
But Dr. Melfi sees the truth, behind the mafia's game.

Panic attacks and therapy, a vulnerable side,
A fear of weakness, that could be his demise,
The weight of family, and loyalty to bear,
A delicate balance, between love and the mafia's snare.

Carmela, Meadow, and Tony Jr. too,
A family bound, by love and loyalty true,
Livia, the matriarch, with a heart of stone,
A difficult relationship, that Tony can't call his own.

Junior and Christopher, with ambitions and strife,
A power struggle, that cuts like a knife,
Artie's restaurant, a stage for a hit,
A moral dilemma, that Tony must navigate and commit.

Debts to collect, and favors to repay,
A complex web, of loyalty and disarray,
The Bada Bing, a strip club's neon glow,
A world of sex and violence, where the mafia's secrets grow.

The pilot episode, a directorial debut,
A DGA award, for David Chase's cue,
A style and theme, that sets the tone,
For a series that mixes, socioeconomic commentary, with crime and moan.

A pause between episodes, a change in the cast,
A reflection of the show's, ever-evolving past,
New faces and names, but the story remains,
A tale of Tony Soprano, and the mafia's games.
