Poetic Film Review: Showtime (2002)
In the world of Hollywood glitz and glamour,
Comes a film that fell short of its grandeur.
"Showtime" tried to blend action and comedy,
But the end result was far from a symphony.
Robert De Niro, a legend in his own right,
Couldn't save this film from its comedic plight.
Eddie Murphy, once a comedic king,
Couldn't bring back the laughter that used to ring.
With a budget inflated beyond reason,
The film failed to deliver, committing treason.
A missed opportunity to satirize media and fame,
"Showtime" ended up being a forgettable name.
Despite a cameo from William Shatner,
The film couldn't rise above its banter.
A mix of poor humor and excessive action scenes,
"Showtime" left audiences feeling keen.
So if you're looking for a film to watch,
"Showtime" may not be the catch.
With a rating of 2 out of 10,
This film falls short time and time again.
