Poetic Film Review: Mission to Mars (2000)
In the vast expanse of space, a mission unfolds,
With De Palma at the helm, a tale of old,
A team of astronauts embarks on a journey grand,
To the red planet, with discoveries unplanned.
But alas, the script falls flat, the pacing slow,
De Palma's talent hidden, lost in the show,
Scenes borrowed, clichés abound,
The audience left disappointed, unsound.
With actors renowned, they struggle in vain,
To breathe life into a story, filled with disdain,
A soundtrack jarring, a plot unclear,
Mission to Mars leaves much to fear.
Yet amidst the rubble, a glimmer of hope,
In special effects, a moment to cope,
But overall, a film that falls short,
Leaving viewers wishing for a different sort.
So heed this warning, before you embark,
On a mission to Mars, in the dark,
For De Palma's talent may be lost,
In a film that comes at a great cost.
