RE: The Princess Bride (film): if you haven't seen this, get it NOW!
Great movie locations. Reminds me of Barry Lyndon in a way. English countryside. I love it. I'm really loving the aesthetic of it all. The small wooden ships and medieval costumes. It's all great.
This movie has a really great sense of humor. It's all so, inconceivable! The humor reminds me of Monty Python.
I can see why this movie is such a classic though. It takes ideas that have been used before in movies, but then tuns them into unique, original, and personal ideas. It's very charming and it doesn't take itself too seriously.
This movie takes the whole save the princess formula and then shatters it in thee best way possible. I loved watching this movie and is one I will revisit in the near future
