Magellan - Movie Review
The nutshell of this movie is that 3 coordinated signals have been intercepted from 3 different planetary bodies within the solar system. This is the story of the mission to go to the three locations and find out from where the transmissions are emanating and gather clues as to who might have originated the signals.
I am tend to be forgiving with sci-fi films and dealing with lower budgets. Magellan suffers from low budget problems including a retro space suit and limited locations. The story had some solid points and some interesting science but the concept of a NASA person consenting to a 10-year solo mission without talking to his wife is absurd. The portions of the film trying to show his relationship with his wife is developed poorly and doesn’t help the story. The astronaut, Roger Nelson (played by Brandon Ray Olive) did a good job overall considering for the majority of the film he was by himself, talking to a computer or a video screen. I was disappointed with the ending, it seemed to leave it open for a sequel.
Overall the movie was okay for a rainy afternoon at home but it had potential to be better that in my opinion was not fulfilled.
If you see the film, let me know what you think.

hello greetings friend @altportal. This movie looks really good, the first time I read about this movie but when I read a bit about what it is about, it looks a lot like a movie that was once fashionable, called "Gravity", about two astronauts. They travel through their spaceship on several planets and on one of those planets their ship has a fault and it stops you in the middle of nowhere and the galaxy, the movie is very good. And this one in particular is also seen to be very good, I am a lover of science fiction movies because I feel that they always give the viewer as a kind of intrigue and despair to see what happens. As I commented this movie I have never seen it, but now that you publish it now if I see it. Thanks friend for sharing this movie with us. Greetings from Venezuela
