Spawn 2. Restart and the first horror with the R rating in the genre of comics.

The first film adaptation of the film on this comics took place in the distant 1997 and unfortunately, it was taken a little negatively, so there was no continuation and this hero (or anti-hero as it is called) was forgotten.

Briefly about the plot of the old film

The story tells of Ele Simmons, an agent of the CIA, who was betrayed and killed by his leadership. For their sins committed for the good of the country, Simmons goes to hell, where one of the supreme demons offers him a deal: if Simmons becomes his servant, he can return to Earth. Agreeing, he gets a suit that gives him immortality and supernatural abilities.

Returning to Earth, the main character learns that five years have passed since his death, and his bride got married and lives in a happy marriage. Soon Simmons meets a demon named Defiler, who was sent as his mentor. In addition to the Defiler, he meets an old man named Cogliostro, who, like Simmons, Spawn, but managed to free his soul.

There are few details, but it is known that the script was written by Todd McFarlane, one of the creators of Spawn, and this alone indicates that the film will be as close to the original story as possible. According to him, the new film will be much grimmer and will have a rating of R. The scriptwriter wants the viewer to feel real fear while watching the film and at the same time sympathize with the realistic drama unfolding in the storyline. And this should make "Spawn" not like the rest of the superhero movies.
