Initial Movie Rating of "Top Gun: Maverick".

Rating: 9.20/10.00
Grade: A

The movie starred Maverick (played by Tom Cruise) who gets recalled to teach a new batch of Elite fighter pilots. Some important things to note:

  • Testing of Mach 10 and actually attaining it.
  • Scenes from San Diego, Fightertown
  • The emotional, verbal and physical exchanges.
  • Iceman’s funeral scene (Admiral of U.S. Pacific Fleet)
  • Lots of flashbacks on this one to help new viewers fill in the storyline from the original Top Gun.
  • Phoenix is cute.

The best lesson from the movie: Teach them how to come home. I could not agree more. Each human life is precious, be it of a male or female, civilians, professionals, retired folks, pilots and co-pilots.
