RE: Star Trek = Deep Fat Fried

@tjkirk - I think it's deeply ironic that here you are on Steemit and Scotty and Paul can't see the vision. You have partaken of the blockchain. The blockchain won't unite humanity. The blockchain will disintermediate authority by creating a massive equity drain in national fiat. This platform is about decentralization.

Anyway, welcome to Steemit!

You ultimately have two types of technocracy that can happen and sadly Star Trek fits neither model.

Centralized technocracy is your Blade Runner style future. The real dystopian shit where corporations / government own everything and nobody can do anything. The Borg and Terminator are also highly plausible scenarios when going down this path. Aliens would be instantly fucked if they showed up in this scenario as would employ a bug hunting military and show them some fear.

Decentralized technocracy is one where everyone abides by the technology but nobody really controls it. So we all just end up in some kind of libertarian scenario where it becomes increasingly difficult to form any kind of leadership at all and by the time we do Borg / Terminator / aliens show up and fuck us before we have a chance to defend ourselves.

Or the aliens are also probably in a similar technocracy in which we end up in a melting pot. Which would be the closest to Star Trek as possible but the least likely. Borg and terminator are most likely scenarios. Which means Aliens would be shitfucked right away.

Blockchain is part of the decentralized technocracy.

I think both of you are just slightly overestimating the power of blockchains.

I'm a little floaty tonight and read your comment as "equity drain in national fat." The rest of the guys will be over soon enough, and then the WORLD! Muah-hah-hah-hah.
