Appreciation of a person who doesn't know about cinema 🎬 // The Form of Water (message perceived)

For the past two years I've been interested a little more in cinema, basically for entertainment, there are no technical or professional details in everything, but I've tried to see most of the films when the Oscar nominations come out before it's the night of the awards, this year I didn't make it that much but at least I had the opportunity to see this feature film two nights before.
The Shape of Water is a 2017 American romantic fantasy film, directed by Guillermo del Toro and written by El Toro's own and Vanessa Taylor, starring Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Doug Jones, Michael Stuhlbarg and Octavia Spencer. Set in Baltimore in 1962, the plot follows a young cleaner who works in a high-security government laboratory that forms a loving bond with a captured humanoid-anphyritic creature. Wikipedia
Before I say anything, I must point out that in principle when I saw the trailer I didn't understand a lot and it seemed to me super bizarre the thing, however, after watching the film and trying to analyze a little bit what is happening and go beyond what is seen at first sight, I managed to capture a really beautiful message and that it is worthwhile for everyone to perceive it the same or much better than me.
On this occasion, my post is going to focus on the message that this film left me, I have some criticisms beyond that but I will not focus on them.
We are accustomed to planning love, we build in the mind that person who according to us would be perfect to walk hand in hand, we idealize. We spend most of our lives thinking about the physical and attitudinal qualities that we want our partners to have. In the end, love comes in the way he most pleases.
In the film we can see a silent girl, falling in love with a sea monster, and vice versa, this in general terms. To the naked eye, as I said before, it seemed very strange to see that image, after analyzing the situation a little I realized that the message is really beautiful and that it can help many people.
Understanding that love has no form, age, condition, race, would help us to cultivate much more sincere relationships, would help many people to be happy.
I see people who by seeking the ideal love cling to relationships that are not healthy, without thinking that they may be losing the pleasure of truly loving.
There are complexes in humanity that do not allow us to be free when it comes to choosing who will accompany us a section or a lifetime and this film, to my perception, invites us to be free when it comes to giving our hearts.
It's a movie I highly recommend.
