Why King Arthur Legend of the Sword is Underated!

in #movie7 years ago

There were so many good movies in 2017 but are overshadowed by the crappy movies like Star Wars the Last Jedi. Movies like King Arthur Legend of the Sword do sh*t in the box office but movies like TLJ get 93% from Rotten Tomatoes which rivals movies like The Man from Snowy River or Godfathers 1 & 2 and even matches the scores with empires strikes back. But if you legitimately enjoyed yourself with TLJ , there's nothing wrong with that just personally insulting to Star Wars but that's not what this article is about, Why is a movie like King Arthur Legend of the Sword Underrated?

First of all, the reason many people think it did so poorly in the box office was:

  1. It did not follow the usual Hollywood agendas that most Hollywood films have nowadays for example in the TLJ you had a Marry Sue character named Rey and she could somehow use the force which took Luke Skywalker multiple movies before he could use the Force like Rey did in TLJ, my point is that there was no major female lead in this movie which is why many SJW people were turned away and where do the critics come from, you name it 'Hollywood' and the ideas SJW came from that exact place as well. My point is that since the critics saw a white man be the main character of the movie with no major female lead, this triggered some critics that possibly a reason why they gave the movie a low score.

2 Now there of course is some valid criticisms to the movie that are legitimate for example the editing wasn't the best but what ever happened to watching a movie for it's enjoyment, this movie didn't treat you like a child or hold your hand unlike most movies nowadays, this movie actually makes you think and makes you watch over and over again which intern makes you want to watch it again, that to me is probably another reason why this movie is underrated because it actually made you think about what was going and didn't give all the answers in a silver platter.

3 This movie uses a lot of CGI which could've turned a lot of old timers and reviewers as in recent times CGI has not been portrayed positively with critics, which is understandable as I at one point agreed that CGI is lazy sometimes but in this case the fight scenes in this movie are amazing, combines a lot quick time events like they do in cinematic video games and are fast paced like an anime. I think CGI is cheap sometimes because companies are to lazy to actually fight so they result in CGI however what they did in this film takes it to the next level, instead of trying to make the CGI realistic, the movie knows that CGI can't always be realistic to all human eyes so it uses the CGI in innovative ways. This intern could've made people skip this movie or dislike it as not everybody likes CGI.

This brings me to the end of my post so there will be a part 2 next week so stay tuned...
