The Nun - My Movie Review
The Nun - Started promisingly but ended with none (pun intended).
The second spin off from The Conjuring universe, after Annabelle, is just a collection of rehashed jump scares with nothing really happens at the end. Nothing really new or creative that will cling on your mind after the movie.
Performance wise, the 3 main casts, Taissa Farmiga (as Sister Irene), Demian Bichir (as Father Burke) and Jonas Bloquet (as Frenchie) are all doing their part sufficiently well but it is the bland storyline that make it less interesting/scary.
Besides the opening scene, the one other positive thing about the movie is how it cleverly tie back the demon Valak to a scene in the original “The Conjuring”.
Having said that, the movie is expected to do very well in the box office on its first week of release in US, so, I guess if you are just a simple minded horror movie fan, you might still enjoy it.
Ok, enough of nun, can someone pass me the naan instead?
