Six Stories , six different set of characters : Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
Tim Blake Nelson(BUSTER SCRUGGS)
In this funny , sometimes weird anthology, Coen Brothers have shown their true potential as great storytellers. A set of meaningful poems in the shape of a brutal "two hour and 13 minutes" movie. And of course they've stayed loyal to the elements of the popular western genre. If you've seen Coen Brothers' other western (True Grit) , you surely shouldn't be expecting to see another one just like it. I mean that's what The Brothers do , each movie they make is totally different from the last one. But of course for me Buster Scruggs had some things in common with The Coen's 2000 film "O' Brother Where Art Though". But in general Buster Scruggs is different from not only the Coen's other films but all the films you've seen till this day.
made of six stories with six different purposes but they all follow the same path , which is the mortality and vulnerability of human beings. The rule is "If you do a bad thing , the universe will do its best to punish you. but if you do good , you can't be certain to get your reward." the only rule in The FUNNY , SOMETIMES BRUTAL & SOMETIMES SAD UNIVERSE OF THE COENS.
James Franco
