POWER
Hey Guys! Welcome to my blog...Its been a minute and a lot has been going on. At a point, I felt like a spectator in my own life, i don't know if that makes sense but a lot of things just keep spinning around and when I think its sorted, another pops up. Well in my not so brief time away, I got busy doing something that often times I dare call a luxury. I started watching a series called POWER. Yea....i know am late and the movie is old but i can't stop thinking and talking about it. Meanwhile if you have not seen it, you should totally check it out. Well.... Let me be a spoiler and give you a mini brief....
This movie got me hooked to my laptop like kilode. To the juice though, the movie gives an insight to the life of a wealthy man who is both legit and dirty (how on earth did i put both words in one sentence).
The one thing that kept fascinating me about that movie though was the level of loyalty the people that mattered had in themselves. No matter what happened, or how much they were rattled or shook by law enforcement they were loyal to each other to the point of death. How many people this days can do that for one another? Its hard enough living ones life but then the extra burden, not so many people want to take it on.
Secondly, there is the importance of family. No matter how distraught or angry or mad they were at each other, when a member of the family was in trouble, the whole pack came calling. They stood up for each other and fought to the death.
The feeling you get knowing someone is there no matter how little or insignificant their contribution maybe, not caring how screwed up our messed up the situation is, means everything. The fact that they show up proves that you are a priority and not an option.
Lastly, may i warn that the movie has sexually explicit scenes that many may find offensive (I didn't though, it gave the movie its own touch). yea.....that 18+ thingy felt good reading.
My conclusion, if you have not seen POWER, check it out.
CAUTION: It is highly addictive.
