Movie review-Stardust(2007)
I took the first step, to join on steemit. Now comes the beautiful part in witch I had to start doing something.
I decided to begin with movies reviews and maybe some TV shows. I’m a big fan of them so I hope to manage in creating good content and sharing one of my favorites movies with you.
The first in my list is a recent movie that I saw. I was looking for a good fantastical movie because I haven’t watched one in a while. Browsing the internet I discover this title who took my attention. The movie is based on 1999 novel of Neil Gaiman, Stardust.
Wall is a small village in 1800’s England. A village that has a magical border who separates Wall from Stormhold, the second was is a magical realm whose gate is guarded by an old man. The movie develops the story of a young man(Tristan) in love to a woman who make’s her a promise:to retrive her a fallen star.
Young Tristan make the first steps in Stormhold where his journey begins. With help from a magical object given by his mother who never meets, Tristan manage to meet the star. Not a big rock how fall from the sky but a beautiful woman hurt in her cosmic fall, the young man catch her and wants to bring Yvaine(the star) to his beloved girl from Wall.
Tristan is not the only one who wants the star. King’s sons can have the throne only if they bring the star to their dying father ant there is an old witch who needs her for becoming young again.
Young man is ready to bring Yvaine to his beloved Victoria, but the road is far from being easy. A tough pirate captain who dresses like a woman when no one see him and a low-principled bargainer are just the few from a long list of obstacles.
Charlie Cox who impressed me in Daredevil TV show is playing the role of Tristan Thorn and Claire Danes as Yvaine. Sir Ian McKellen delight us being the narrator. We also see brilliant Robert de Niro in role of Captain Shakespeare. Another important actor is Mark Strong who act as Septimus, the most cruel prince of Stormhold, I have to say that I saw few movies with him but the role from The Brothers Grimsby was a nice shot. We also see Peter O’Toole and Henry Cavill in small roles.
That is a movie I recommend for any ages, It's a good movie to watch with your family in the middle of Sundays maybe.
