A horror story or real life?

That was the question many are probably asking when they see the movie Traffik.

It is a new film that centers around a couple set to take a romantic mountain vacation.

The vacation is set up at a mountain get-away by a friend, with no expenses spared.

It looks like a resort right out of something you see on lifestyles of the rich and famous.

Some insights:

As the story unfolds we learn that the man was planning on proposing to his girlfriend during this weekend getaway.

She currently is at a rough point in her life with not knowing if she still has a job or not after some changes being made at the newspaper she worked at.

Sensing she was not in a good spot, her boyfriend shows up with a new car to take on their weekend retreat...

It is literally set up to a perfect evening.

However, on the way they encounter some trouble at a gas station when a group of bikers start giving them trouble at a local gas station.

They start picking a fight with the guy and taking a very unconfortable interest in his girlfriend.

The cops show up just when things start to take a turn for the worst.

As the couple leaves and heads to their cabin getaway, they notice that the bikers are following them from the gas station.

This is where things start to get really interesting.

Oh and by the way this is all based on a true story...

Overall the movie is worth the watch as it deals with an uncomfortable topic for most people.

Though, probably not one for the kids.

It has some interesting and unexpected twists.

Overall, I rate the film 8/10.

It is the kind of film that sticks with you long after you watch it.
