Women-only motorsport series launched

So the BBC has published this article written by Andrew Benson: " Women-only motorsport series launched to find potential Formula 1 stars". Where do I even begin?

As I started reading the article, I thought that if women were not allowed in motorsport, then this is sort of a move in the right direction even though a better move would be to actually allow women to participate in the gender-neutral sport of motorsport. 

Wait... what??? 

Ohhhhh women can participate in motorsport already, and they have no restriction? So what the actual fuck????

While reading you would think that in some way shape or form that there actually is a handicap for women like:

" Coulthard said he believed men and women could compete on equal terms in motorsport."

Don't they already???

I will try to keep my article quotes to a minimum or else I will end up copying and pasting the whole article here and commenting line by line, well more like criticise each line.

" Coulthard said he "absolutely" believed women could succeed in F1."

Well yes, of course, women can succeed in F1. No one is debating that. Racing is racing, and anyone can do it if you are passionate enough and love the sport. The issue is not a sexist one... even though by reading this article you would think that this sport is incredibly sexist, it is a numbers "issue". Be it due to our current generation or any other number of factors many more men take on the path in wanting to become a race car driver than women do.

An example of this can be taken from the under-16 karting license holders in the UK where 92.8% are male while 7.2% are female. 1794 to 139, so interest wise males outnumber females 14:1 (reference). So wouldn't it make sense that there would be much more male drivers than female drivers in motorsport? Isn't this just logical and nothing else? 

You get into the big leagues by being the best and not because since we should be politically correct and we should have 50%, or just more just because, of the drivers female. Then out of 10, 5 should be women regardless of the performance. When in fact, without even looking at the performance this should be in the ballpark of 1 in every 14.

 Michele Mouton said, "While this new series is obviously giving an opportunity for women to showcase their talent in a female-only environment, our objective is to have more of them competing alongside men and demonstrating they have the same ability and potential to succeed in top-level FIA championships."

So let me understand this correctly. We want to create a female only motorsport competition so that the 1 women in every 14 men can have their own competition to show off their talents and basically bypass the mass of the competitors just to have more women who are able to join the top competitions.

Wait my system is rebooting. This does not make sense. Good job for bullshit political correctness to really bring in sexism into the sport. Sarcastic clap clap clap. So instead of saying... hey we have 10,000 PEOPLE and the top PERSONS will qualify, instead we are saying, so lets split the people who are interested in this sport by gender, even though it is currently not gender-bound and does not limit any gender from participating, just because we think that there should be more women participating. Then we will create a competition to promote the gender which has the least representation, in this case, women, and to the majority of people who are interested in motorsport, the men, we say fuck you, fight it out between yourselves. We have just created this imbalance because we believe that there should be more women drivers regardless of the numbers. Biggest facepalm ever.
