Motorcycle Travel Series by @velimir 'Restaurant on a Hill' (Part #228)
'Restaurant on a Hill'
The clouds are thick. The sun shyly shows its existence, only to reassure us that it is still there, thinking of us. I've just reached the end of the hiking path. What does one find at the end of a hiking trail? Two funny looking barrels, of course! :D
The restaurant is located on the southern side of the hill, overlooking the valley. It is full of people who came for lunch and fresh air. I do come off a bit odd parking the bike. Not a common sight up here. Well, it's a free world and there was no sign saying that it's not allowed or that the bikers are not welcome, so let's have a coffee.
I respect people who use their time to walk all over woods and hills. I remember my English teacher in elementary school used to scorn upon hikers, doubting the reasons for mountain climbing. She saw it as completely useless. I've never heard that attitude from anyone else since. Funny that I recalled her now. This would be the proper way to climb up here. I don't mean the stairs! :D
Guess the poor woman was too closed to understand concepts of fresh air, body movement, nature, feeling of freedom, happiness and pride of achievement when reaching the peak. She sat through most of her day. To the opposite of her lifestyle, the children seem to enjoy their time in this small but attractive playground.
The place is crowded. I'm not hungry, so I'll pass on the food. But, a cup of coffee would be nice. Uuupsy, that is a happy pile of dishes waiting to fall down to the floor.
Hmm... I have a problem with drinking a coffee from a plastic cup. It just doesn't taste the same. I ask the lady to pour it into a proper one. She did. Then she mentioned something about not having water today. Ups...if I had known I wouldn't complain... Wonder how they'll wash all those dishes...
Here it is. A proper cup, mediocre quality, the coffee machine needs a thorough cleaning but... A cup of coffee is a cup of coffee, right? :D
Enjoy your day! :-)

Ahahahaha. Of Course you find two odd barrels at the end of a hiking trail. It's written right there in the hiking trail manual!
I wonder how long it had been since the restaurant had water to wash dishes? I think I'd have been wishing for that plastic cup. I'm just sayin'.
