Leaving Ducati, Lorenzo Officially Joins Honda
Just a day after announcing the end of their partnership with Dani Pedrosa at the end of the year, Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) stated that they will overshadow Jorge Lorenzo in MotoGP from next season.
HRC has actually seduced Lorenzo to join Repsol Honda since 2014, but this Spanish rider often refused. Now, after defending Yamaha for nine years and Ducati for two years, Lorenzo will actually head for Repsol Honda.
In its official release, HRC did not say how long the duration of the contract received Lorenzo, but five times this world champion is expected to get a two-year contract, which is worth 4 million euros per season.
Lorenzo will also bertandem with Marc Marquez, and is expected to drive a motorcycle RC213V for the first time in post-test pascamusim Valencia, Spain in November.
