Millsaps signs for Factory Yamaha
He we go steemers, its the run up to the Monster Cup and swap season before the next years Supercross season kicks off :)
So we know that Chad reed has been looking into bike options for the upcoming Supercross season as i reported here. This means he will not be boarding the Factory yamaha he was riding which leaves them with only Cooper Web on the team. We all know that spot needed to be filled and today Yamaha have announced that Davi Millsaps will be that guy. Davi enjoyed an amazing Supercross season last year and was consistently inside the top riders mixing it up for podiums. This reflected in his final standing of 5th overall for 2017, not bad by anyone's measurements.

"First of all, I’m super excited to be racing for the Yamaha Factory team. To be making my Yamaha debut aboard the 2018 YZ450F is going to be awesome. I’ve been doing a lot of testing on the new bike and it's coming along great. I couldn't be happier. I’m training hard for the Monster Energy Cup and I’ll definitely be ready on October 14th. How cool is it that I’ll be running my signature #18 on the '18 Yamaha in 2018? Can’t wait."

Millsaps has confirmed that he will line at at the Monster Energy Cup which will be great news to fans. Davi is a great starter and long time fans will know he has what it takes to contend at these events and has lead a few in his kawasaki days! Cooper Web unfortunately will not be joining him as he is still recovering from surgery on his thumb, he will however be there in the pits for fans to go and grab an autograph :)
