Dreaming while sleeping or day dreaming are both important. Day dreaming allows us to visualize in our mind what and where we want to go in life. It is a great addition to written goals. Write the goals and then day dream about those goals being achieved.
You may not reach every dream/goal, but it starts you moving forward and there are times when a fork in the road leads to a better dream/goal.
