RE: YOU are your biggest asset
Thank you for your very true and well said comment, weq! Yes indeed, we must put on our own oxygen masks first and certainly even the most altruistic person needs to follow that rule! <3 It saddens me sometimes to see so many beautiful people on our precious planet investing in everything but themselves. And some of the best things in life like -- listening to music, a baby's laugh, a hug, hiking, learning to knit, planting a tree, and talking to friends -- some of the best investments in ourselves are even free. Yet, so many people forget that and worry endlessly about monetary investments. Of course, money buys experiences and puts food on the table, but it's always important to also keep investing in the little things to develop both cognitively and mindfully. Eventually, investing in ourselves is what helps us stay on our natural path of progression and avoid the temptation of comparison. I'm so happy you resonated and I loved what you said. XOXO <3
Thank you so much. I agree with you! Yes, money can buy great experiences (we just returned from a trip to San Diego...and it wasn't free!) Within that vacation it was some of the simpler pleasures that brought the most joy, like looking for seashells on the beach and having 3 birds, all at the same time roughly, land on my daughter's arm and shoulder. The best to you always!
