OFF: AWKWARD CONTEST*

What we know always is what we wanted
And we often forget about what is needed
We gave want a chase and need, for no pace.

Many would: give our all to get what we want...
While giving everything for what we need is what should be done.

The problem is not our inability to get what we need
But we're often beclouded by wants that we can't even see or discern it.
And this has brought me to the conclusion on these often admirable want illusions-
That our contests are not always our ways.

So where do we turn to war?

We need a resolution that promises
Like God's given rainbow:
Never again on earth to bring destruction...
And this resolution shall be for our destiny a rainbow:
Never again on our paths to bring confusion.

But while the rainbow is there,
The cross of our choices we're going to bear:
The more reason to know what we really need from what we want...
And go get the needs.

So this is my chant:
All open doors are not your doors
And don't think to make all doors your entrance.
This has caught so many youths off their paths...
Entering the studio door
Forgetting they wanted to become a doctor.
So euphoric!

You must look well to know what is yours
And don't open doors without been so scrupulous.

Yes, you want money...Right!
Don't let the pressure of what you want deprive you of getting what you really need.

Be yourself by not settling for less
Driven by the charge to go for what you need.

Want is a shadow we can't hold (for long)
Flying off without wings that the excitements depart with it.
Need is the image you need to capture;
It sparkles with the beauty of your struggles when you get it.

Though want is easier to get than what you need
But you need to get on to win your need.
Learn to stop contesting for what is not your way:
It will do you more good to invest struggle into the things you need (after you might have discerned it).

Alas!
Humility is aesthetic to your personality
So add it before and after you get your needs to rank.
