Profit is very essential in order to gain from business activity minus expenses. You need to make Profit because it is the positive gain that denotes the basis on which tax is computed and dividend is paid.
One of the reasons the poor are poor is because they are not trained to recognize entrepreneurship opportunities. They spend too much time in school and what they have learnt in school is to work for wages instead of money working for them.
No body would be happy to be doing business and not make profit. When one is making massive profit in his business, it makes a person lively and want to live life to the fullest.
Profit is the most commonly used measure of success of a business this days.
Therefore, think investment and stop fighting over increment of salaries by so doing, you make you make yourself happy and the people around you as well.
