LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES : AT A GLANCE
Leadership : At first I shall tell you that leadership is not a talent , it is a skill. Sometimes we hear the term “Born Leader” . This is fake. Leaders are always groomed. The people who follows leadership principles , can be leader. In this context , I want to share a story with you. Once , some travelers were visiting villages where great men born. The travelers reached at a village and asked an old man - Which great man was born in your village. The old man replied - Only children are borned in our village. The old man’s words has great significance. Leaders come from common people , they are not special by birth. Even , leadership is not gender Specific. 
There are there types of people in the world :
1.This types of people are not conscious about what is happening. They are called Losers.
2.These types of people are watching things happen. These people sometimes take part . Basically they stay in side roll.
3.These people make the thing happen. They are leaders.
There are some leadership qualities in every person. They have to build other qualities consciously to become leader. It’s not an overnight happening. The leaders should practice the qualities with patience and strong belief. There are three stages of leadership -
Those who are accepted means people accept them. This is the first level of leadership. People will give you interest because they started to be benefited by you.
Those who are wanted means you have a demand in public. Common people of your organization want to listen your speech. They try to attend your programmes.
Those who are respected means people accept you , want you and also love you from their core of heart.
Let’s discuss , how can we go to the first level of leadership. Some people have some leadership qualities which is contributed by his/her culture , family or education system. It can be called as “Opening Balance”. Leader should nourish it and develop other qualities. In this context , Association plays the vital role. Positive association gives a great support . And also , leaving the other associations has a strong effect in it . In most of the cases , people fail here. We fail to leave negative associations where people criticize others. Basically , we people are fond of negative thoughts. You should leave the toxic association to become leader. Here is some basic qualities of a leader :
1.Leaders are listeners. Leader should listen more but talk less. He should be very skilled in people skill. People skill is that kind of skill by which you will be able to extract the best from another person without hurting him. Leaders should not talk any one without smiling .
2.Leaders are readers. Book is our true friend. Book can change us internally. So leaders should read books daily basis. In this case , Positive Mental Attitude books are very important.
Leaders believe in continuous learning. So he attends training programmes regularly to be updated about business. Leaders are full stop to all the queries of team. Hr should be knowledgeable about subject matter.
Leaders are effective , not only efficient.
4.Leaders are master in relationship.He is the key person in the whole organization. Leaders are good servers also. If you are humble and down to earth.
- Leaders are well groomed. They wear right dress in right place. They also maintain good health.
6.Leaders are comfortable about money. They know how to manage money properly. The comfort about money doesn't mean that they have plenty of money but leaders know skill of being comfortable with little money.
7.Leaders are always alert. They know the latest information/techniques and how to implement fast and properly.
- Leaders are encouraging . They always try to encourage other. They give credit for all good and take responsibility of bad things happened.
Leaders are always focused. They have clear written goals. Leaders always believe in learning , doing and then teachings. Friends , be a leader and make leaders with these principles.
