FEAR

I know him well enough to say this
I have seen him closely and I've been this close
You see, He is very imposing from afar
His muscles are mighty and his demeanour intimidating
He screams from afar so no one come near
He makes everyone cringe in fear

But one day I lost my head and moved close
I love to meet people and play with ideas
And so the idea of fear became interesting to me
I wanted to find out why and how He did it
How did he get a whole generation to live in dread
And has a subject in every dispensation

And as I walked closer, He became smaller
The path to his place way bushy thorny and wild
And that is even what made him even scarier
Just as I would soon realize: it's all nothing
The path to overcome our fears is quiet and dreadful
And that is because not many people traverse it

On getting close it was hard to find fear himself
It was even harder to find my own fears
His abode is deserted and lonely
However full of treasures and a map to places
He enjoys attention and amusement
He loses influence when he can no longer draw attention

I know him well enough
I have spent too much of my life in subjection
I know His voice and stench
He is the man who made it and wants to be there alone
Therefore he sends shivers down the spine of others
Spreads tales of doom and fear, himself

Oh and I forgot to mention this to you
He is a man of little stature
A dwarf whose figure is imposing only in the camera
He is afraid of others coming close
He is intimidated by the weakest man who takes courage
He runs and hides when even the child draws near

I can boldly say our fear is unfounded
Our fears have nothing to do with fear itself
Because fear itself lives in dread every day
His only wish is that men do not stand and dare
And every day and night He mourns
Because one more person wakes up to this reality

Arise friends and move towards destiny
Fear is not ahead of you, He is behind
Whatever you hear is just an echo
Rise up, clean up, there is live ahead
Wake up, speed up, fear is not ahead
Shake up, make up, the world awaits to be led.
