When It Grows Dark Around You

Life at times could grow very dark. So much dark that you will not be able to see yourself talk less of who is standing by. Such times when there seems to be anyone standing by you, and it looks as if you are all by yourself. Truly, friends may have eloped and relatives might have left you all alone to yourself but I am sure you are not alone.

I will always cherish the story of the young man who dreamt while walking on in life. He notices two sets of foot prints on the road whenever things are rosy in his life but when things are hard, so hard that there is nothing to find motivation or inspiration in, that's when he sees only one set of foot print. He then turned to the Lord and asked “Lord, you said you will always be with me no matter how hard it gets, how come when its hard I only see one set of foot print which means you left me alone when it was hard”. The Lord answered and said “Son, I made a promise and I kept it, when it was hard and you were seeing only one set of foot print, that was when I carried you up in my arms! So it was my foot print you were seeing and not yours”.

That is just the way it is. No matter how hard it gets, I know God will never leave you. You don’t even have to be so good, He loves you all the same and He has promised to be with you to the end of time. So when it gets hard, and its dark around you, be rest assured He is there with you.

You might be wondering why things had to be hard for you, but the truth is that, Gold is never pretty in our eyes until it has gone through the trouble of the furnance which refines it. He is refining you! You will soon appear pretty if you stay with Him, don’t quit on Him becase He is not quitting on you. His love will take you through it all.

Let these words for today motivate you, let it take you high to the sky where the father is with the angels, Be inspired in Him and there, there is really nothing to worry about.
