88th follower on my 5th day & story of a girl I met while travelling.

A big thank you!

Dear Steemit Friends, this means a lot to me. I appreciate and thank each one of you who constantly encourage me. I aim on achieving 1000 followers in one month, which is only possible by the love you spread constantly.

I have been really lucky and I hope to be lucky since I'm not that good of a writer.
I have a small story to share today

this is a picture from vattakanaal also known as little Israel located about 6kms from Kodaikanal ( southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, india. )

Here there were many backpackers who had traveled from different parts of the world to chill in mountains. The speciality of this South Indian mountain is the psychedelic mushrooms. They grow here naturally and seem to be very powerful. I came here for different reasons but ended up trying my first 'Magic mushrooms' & I liked it. The sounds of nature at vattakannal was like music to my ears. There were thousands of different insects making noise at the same time which turned itself into a musical tune. This place has just one caffe called the altafs cafe. The food here was great. Rubins guest house was where I stayed the view you see in the image is right outside the room where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Rubin had a dog called myna she was a very friendly dog. Rubin and myna had a very good bonding, he would take good care of his guests here. To reach the room is a small hike but as you can see in the picture it is worth the hike. I wouldn't want to elaborate on the magic mushrooms but I have an incident to share from this trip. There was a girl staying in the next room who looked like a back packer we exchanged our hellos. she was travelling alone. as it was getting dark Rubin asked if we would need any wood for the fireplace. of course we wanted wood it was cold!

I had dinner with my new traveller friend, at around 9. later she had an epileptic seizures, I knew what I have to do since I had taken mountain rescue training earlier. I had to first make sure she doesn't bite her tongue then calm her down by rubbing the feet. after some time she started feeling better. looking at this Rubin flipped his brains out and thought that this girl was possessed. and asked her to leave immediately. so I left too. We found another place to stay and I found out that she ran from her house because her step mother was trying to sell her off to a brothel. We were both crying at that time. long story short, she fought her way out of the mess that she was in and found herself a decent job and a place to live. now she takes care of a play school teaching them rhymes.

so guys there is never a situation that cannot be solved, she was suicidal too, today she's got several reasons to live.
I would like to suggest that if you are having a bad day, don't give up,
This too shall pass!
