What Did You Do Right Today?

What Are You Doing Right?-2.jpg

Hi Steemit,

It's Spring Break Time for me and Im loving it. Im blogging, investing in my future, hanging out with my kids and enjoying the sun. Things are good, and things are right. It easy to make lists of things going right on days like this, and just as important as when its not easy. There's something satisfying about going back and reading daily accomplishments of yours. It reminds you that its nearly impossible to sit still, and that you are moving forward.

Number 1:

I made a new cover for my "What Are You Doing Right?" Posts. I really liked the other one, but it was the wrong size. My 6th grader was more bothered by it than me, but the truth is that I couldn't figure out how to change the sizing, and I didn't want to have to look up a tutorial. Well, 6th grader to the rescue, she went on my canva account and set up the graphic for me. All I had to do was add a background and some letters, she did a great job.

Number 2:

I did more than one activity with the kids. Im a pretty bland parent. I can handle one trip per day, and by trip, I mean, only having to buckle the kids up twice. Once to get out of the house, and once to come back. If the kids need more outside time after that trip, then they can play outside. Today I let them do multiple activities. I took them to the movies to watch Sherlock Gnomes, took them to the park, and even let them run around the mall. We were out of the house early enough so that when we got back home there was still enough sunshine to play outside. Im so happy the sun is back.

Number 3:

I fed my kids vegetarian again! It really was an accident, I meant to have pasta and a protein - and totally forgot about cooking the protein until the pasta was nearly ready. Instead of waiting for my protein to cook, I served the pasta. To round up the meal, I added avocado slices to our pasta, and everybody was happy... and a little healthier. The best way to save water is to eat vegetarian and I am very proud that it becomes easier to cook that way every day.

Thank you for taking the time to read what went right with my day today. Please share what went well with your day, I love hearing about it.

Wow this is a good series, about what you are doing right to actually feel good about yourself @metzli. This is very good for a mom's life and esteem. Pat pat on your shoulder for doing two activities today, feeding your children well and also, making a new cover for your post! Hooray!

Thanks for stopping by. I’m enjoying writing these up.

It's still morning here, and I have been up for barely two hours. However, I do plan on doing a couple of right things - such as plotting up my new book, and reading an existing one on my tbr list, Catch up with a few virtual friends and all.

My days are not always this free, I am on break where I work, so basically I have the whole day to myself.

Were you able to plot your book?

I enjoy days to myself though I can’t remember the last time I had one.

Yep, I definitely was.

Being a Mom 😊

Well actually the best way to conserve water is really to eat Vegan as dairy and commercially farmed eggs use more water a researouecesthen even the meat industry. BTw if you blend up avocado with some nutritional yeast, salt and pepper, plus some water or almond milk you have a killer alfredo sauce :D

And I guess it also depends on which type of animal you’re eating...

Good points. Mmmmmmm, avocado...

Fantastic journal! At least your kids eat vegetarian dishes without fuss :-)

They do! They like their vegetarian meals. Well, they just like food in general. Lol.
