What Did You Do Right Today?
My grandpa used to tell me that parenting wasn't work, it was just life. For example, cleaning up after my little one after he gets sick, and all the extra laundry that comes with it. That to him wasn't work, it was just a part of life, the stuff that keeps the world going round. I agree with him...
Doing Right #1
I went for a walk in the rain. The walk wasn't wet enough or long enough for me to get wet, but it was a nice walk anyway. The just rained smell was around me and the spring flowers were pretty to see.
Doing Right #2
We ate leftovers. There was a little of this and a little of that filling my fridge. Its not there anymore. I don't like feeding the kids that way because nobody's plate looks the same. Making the plates look similar or "fair" is important, so today, I didn't even make plates. I just fed them small portions at different times. Only one of them commented on how we didn't all sit together to eat.
Doing Right #3
I drank lots of water. In small bits and throughout the day. I know if my son was sick this morning, chances are more sick ones are coming. The best way to protect myself against getting sick is to wash my hands and stay hydrated. I also made sure that me and the kids ate lots of fruit. We are a healthy family, so a little precaution goes a long way.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my day today. I would love it if you shared what you did right today with me in the comments.
