A case for Implementation Bias
For most individuals, the shortcomings is often the allure of aiming for perfection (i.e the perfect time/settings, "I'm not good enough" etc) but in so doing we fail to even begin any form of implementation, in most cases it seems too daunting but so also is the prospect of undertaking a journey of a thousand mile.
And as eloquently expressed by Lao Tzu "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step".
Now I'm not advocating a YOLO lifestyle (you only live once, so go do crazy/irresponsible stuff) neither am I an advocate blindly going into a battleground. But the next time you have an idea, the follow might be of use;
- Research - seek out information on the related subject matter (knowledge is power).
- Implement.
- Implement.
- Implement some more.
Implementation is key, no matter how hard you think about swimming and imagine all the different styles. You are not a swimmer until you actually go to a pool and get yourself wet in practice, that's when you know what works and what doesn't work.
As matter of fact, there is never really a perfect time or "superhuman you" but what makes all the difference is taking the first step.
Perfection is just an illusion.
